Behind all the words I (collaboration with Yi Wang) LEFT Happening (slow process during 1 month) India Ink, tracing paper, construction lights 2022
During one month, Yi and I made the glass house at school into a light box and give the space to the manifestations, slogans censored words and songs. After filling up the whole space, we tear them down and finish the whole project by a performance. In the performance, I tried to read the words on the torn-down paper piece, Yi replied by music.
Behind all the words II (continuation) BELOW Installation left-over paper of the happening in 2022 2024
Got selected to the exhibition "Archives of the invisible" at Dingen die niet verkopen in Antwerpen, I start to have an idea of continue this work and think of a way to sell it.
After my graduation in 2023 from Rietveld academie, I think the most about the meaning of making a work. Somehow the photo of a man selling snow ball on the street(One wintry day in 1983, David Hammons) stuck in my mind. So I made left-over papers into paper balls and sell them by 3 euro/gram.
